Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach to deliver and support our holiday camps this summer. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage children and young people in physical activity, fostering a love for sports while providing a practical and engaging environment for skill development, teamwork, and fun.

As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for planning and leading a variety of sports sessions that are inclusive, age-appropriate, and aligned with the camp's values. You will ensure the safety and well-being of all participants while promoting positive attitudes, confidence, and physical literacy.

We will have a number of different contracts available ranging from 20-40 hours per week over the summer holidays. Our clubs will be based in Middlesbrough, Stockton & Hartlepool.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality coaching sessions across multiple sports including football, basketball, athletics, and more. Create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for children aged 5-14. Support and supervise children throughout the camp day, including during transitions, breaks, and lunchtime. Encourage participation, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Adapt activities to meet the needs of different age groups and abilities. Ensure all equipment is used safely and stored properly. Act as a positive role model, maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm at all times. Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and camp managers. Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and camp procedures at all times.

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people in a sports or educational setting. A recognised coaching qualification (e.g., FA Level 1/2, UKCC, or equivalent) is preferred. Passionate about sport and youth development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, reliable, and energetic approach. An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable:

First Aid certification. Experience working in holiday camps or school-based sports programs. Ability to coach multiple sports or lead themed activity sessions.

Pay: 15.00 per hour
