Wraparound Lead & Assistant Opportunities Available

Primary Locations:

Altofts Junior School, Normanton Airedale Junior School, Castleford
(Primarily based at one site, with occasional cover at other local schools)

Contract:

Term Time Only

Hours Available: 15 - 25 hours per week (with opportunities to increase hours)

Start Date: Around 15th March (may start sooner)

Hourly Rate:

12.75 - 15.00 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities

About the Role

Our main focus is recruiting Wraparound Leads and Wraparound Assistants to deliver high-quality, engaging after-school provision for children.

Alongside wraparound, we also deliver sports sessions, PE lessons, and holiday camps. Once in post, there may be opportunities to increase hours through additional daytime school or nursery work, depending on availability and interest.

This role is ideal for Sports Coaches, Camp Leads, PE Coaches, and those with experience in childcare or activity-based roles. Skills are highly transferable and full training is provided.

Working Hours

Wraparound delivery is the core role Sessions typically take place before school, at lunchtime, and after school Overall delivery across our provision ranges between 7:30am and 6:00pm You will not be expected to work all of these hours Daytime school and nursery hours are offered as optional opportunities to increase hours once recruited

Sports Coaches Camp Leads / Activity Leaders PE Coaches Childcare Practitioners

Training & Development

1 full week of structured training provided Ongoing support and clear safeguarding guidance Opportunities to increase hours as provision grows

Essential Information

Enhanced DBS (we can obtain one if required) Will join the DBS Update Service Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Essential for Wraparound Lead roles

- Desirable for Wraparound Assistants / Coaches

Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing

Desirable (Not Essential)

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Safeguarding Training Level 2 Childcare qualification

Pay & Holiday Entitlement

12.75 - 15.00 per hour depending on experience Paid annual leave, taken during school holiday periods Term-time working pattern, similar to other school-based roles
