The successful candidate will work 5 hours per week This is a 39-week-per-year role, which includes term time, non-pupil days.

A Day in the Life:


You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:

Act as a role model and set high expectations of conduct and behaviour Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the activity area Promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour

Have experience in and be confidence to assist in the delivery of various sports Successful recent experience working with children in a school/early years environment Good working knowledge of ICT to support learning

Harwich and Dovercourt High School (HDHS) is a popular, mixed 11-18 comprehensive situated on the north-east Essex coast. As one of the only Reading Schools in the country, we are bursting with innovative practice designed to nourish a love of literature and this forms a cornerstone of our curriculum in all subject areas. Students feel safe, valued and well-supported during their five to seven years with us. The school has made many improvements since joining the Sigma Trust in 2017 and is in an exciting phase of its development, led by an experienced headteacher and senior leadership team.
