Job Purpose



To manage all operational aspects of developing football tournaments and leagues on a brand new all weather surface due to be put down in May 2026 at our club. The role will be from planning and scheduling to on-site execution, ensuring a positive experience for players, coaches, and spectators. The role will also spread over to the assisting with development of netball and field hockey tournaments in conjunction with the clubs that operate these sports on our site.

This is a part time role with variable hours depending upon the success of development of activities. For the right candidate the role could grow as there is no end to the amount of sports development possible at our 33 acre site.

Key Responsibilities



Tournament Planning & Administration:

Develop tournament/league structure, rules, and schedules. Manage team registrations, inquiries, and communications. Handle logistics, including pitch booking, equipment, and pitch preparation. Ensure compliance with local FA regulations if applicable and safety guidelines.

Operational Management:

Oversee on-site operations, including set-up, cleanup, and parking. Coordinate with referees and officials. Create emergency contingency plans.

Financial & Promotional Duties:

Establish and manage tournament budgets to ensure profitability. Secure sponsors and coordinate with the club's F&B department as well as external vendors. Promote the tournament through marketing, social media, and traditional methods.

Stakeholder Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for team managers, coaches, and staff. Address and resolve conflicts or complaints. Organize, manage, and train volunteers.

Required Skills and Qualifications



Experience:

Proven experience in similar event management or administration.

Organizational Skills:

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask.

Communication:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in computer systems, including data entry and spreadsheets.

Knowledge:

Deep understanding of football rules and, for youth tournaments, child safeguarding policies.

Traits:

Proactive, able to work under pressure, and available for weekends/evenings.

Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for event days. Physical involvement in set-up and event management

Salary: Dependant upon experience

Hours: Flexible, with a desk on site to work from

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.40 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
