Kicks and Tricks Ltd

are looking to employ a professional, enthusiastic and inspiring Sports instructor who is passionate about working with children to deliver exciting, innovative and unique sports and PE lessons to primary and high school aged children, all year round. The successful candidate can look forward to delivering outstanding and fun activities like Archery, Kin ball, Football, Gymnastics and more.

These sessions could consist of:

Before, during and after schools clubs. Teaching PE in line with the National Curriculum. Sport and activity delivery during state school half term holidays. Evening and weekend specialised coaching sessions (Potential).

Sports Instructor Job Overview:

Full-time role (Average 32 hours a week) Starting wage: 12.50 - 15 an hour (Depending on experience, qualifications and the type of session you will be instructing). Location - Stowmarket (central), Ipswich, Woodbridge, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas. Full CPD provided to further develop coaching knowledge. Career progression opportunities. Petrol allowance available. Monthly team meetings. 28 days annual leave (full-time). Performance related quarterly bonuses. Our ideal candidate would ideally have at least one of the following qualifications or, be able to provide relevant experience or/and willing to work towards them.

A Level or BTEC Grade C or, above in a Sport related course or working towards. University Degree in Sport related course or working towards. Level 3 ( or above ) Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education in School or working towards. 1st 4Sport Coaching Qualifications or willing to undertake them. Specialist experience in a specific sport - gymnastics or dance for example. Relevant experience delivering Physical Education in a primary school environment and to primary school age children.

Addition requirements.

Must have full, clean driving license or working towards. Up to date Enhanced DBS Certificate or willing to apply for one. Child Safeguarding Certificate (training can be provided). Paediatric First Aid certificate (training can be provided). Prevent Certificate (training can be provided). FGM Certificate (training can be provided).
(The successful candidate will be provided with a new Fully Enhanced DBS check through Kicks and Tricks Ltd and will also have to complete recent, relevant training to fulfil this role).

Personal characteristic & attributes

A passion for sport and physical wellbeing. A passion for working with children. Knowledge of various sports. A positive mindset to inspire children through sport and teach life skills. Display professionalism and patience when working with children. Show resilience when faced with difficult situations or pressurised situations. Understand your professional responsibilities as a role model when working with children in a school environment. Knowledge and understanding of Physical Education within a primary school and a holiday camp environment. Awareness of the National Curriculum of Physical Education. Understand why Government funding for Physical Education in primary schools is important. Understand the part we play as a Primary PE Specialist provider.
