We're on the lookout for a passionate, proactive, and digitally-savvy Sports Marketing Executive to join our growing team at The Match Group.
This is a dynamic role with real variety, perfect for someone who thrives on creative thinking, enjoys working across digital platforms, and takes pride in building and delivering engaging online experiences.
You'll work across our group of brands - including VIP Matchdays, Club Commerce, Sponsor Seeker, Match Marketing, and Match Energy, helping to bring our digital presence to life, drive inbound engagement and keep our platforms polished, up-to-date and on-brand.
Key Responsibilities
Website & WordPress Management
Maintain and update multiple WordPress websites across the group - including content, imagery, news and events.
Assist with designing and optimising landing pages for a seamless user experience across all devices.
Collaborate with internal teams to regularly post new products, events, and sponsorship opportunities.
Conduct regular site audits to ensure content accuracy, SEO health and strong site performance.
Social Media Marketing
Plan, create, and schedule content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook).
Design eye-catching posts, reels, and graphics aligned with current campaigns and events.
Engage with followers, respond to comments and build online communities.
Monitor analytics and produce monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
Email & Digital Campaigns
Design and send marketing emails using platforms such as Mailchimp (or similar).
Work with the wider team to coordinate campaign calendars and promotional pushes.
Assist with A/B testing, segmentation and performance tracking to optimise engagement.
CRM, Admin & Content Upload
Upload sponsor profiles, event listings and blog content to various platforms.
Maintain well-organised digital filing systems for imagery, assets and documentation.
Liaise with clients and clubs to gather relevant data, imagery and content.
Event Support
Support the team with pre-event marketing and post-event digital content.
Liaise with clients for digital promotion, package exposure and social media shout-outs.
Assist with the setup and delivery of in-house events and matchday experiences.
Work on selected matchdays helping to deliver our world-class hospitality.
Represent The Match Group at events and trade shows.
Support the activation and delivery of our sponsorship portfolio.
What We're Looking For
Confident in managing and updating WordPress websites, including plugins and theme adjustments.
Graphic design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Express or Photoshop.
A strong understanding of digital content, branding and what makes audiences engage.
Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
A great communicator with a friendly, outgoing, collaborative approach with colleagues, clients and suppliers alike.
Enthusiastic, adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment..
Full UK driving licence required.
