Job Title: Sports Science Student Placement
Location: Southall Football Club, The SkyEx Community Stadium, Hayes, UB4 0SL
Placement Hours: 1 x training session (19:00-21:00) and 1-2 x match days per week.
Start Date: August 2026

Role Overview
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sports Science or related degree student to gain practical experience within a dynamic sports performance environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the performance, medical, and coaching staff to support the physical development, testing, and monitoring of athletes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning, delivering, and reviewing warm-ups, conditioning drills, and recovery protocols.
Support physical testing (e.g., Bronco tests, jump testing, GPS tracking) and data collection.
Aid in the monitoring of player wellness, fatigue, and training load.
Help manage and maintain equipment used in training and testing.
Contribute to the analysis and reporting of performance data.
Participate in match day duties as required (e.g., warm-ups, hydration, basic injury support).
Engage with coaching and medical staff to ensure integrated player support.
Requirements
Currently studying towards a BSc or MSc in Sports Science, Strength and Conditioning, or related field.
Strong interest in applied sports performance.
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Basic understanding of athlete monitoring and GPS systems (e.g., Catapult, STATSports) is desirable.
First Aid certification (desirable but not essential).
Have access to transport for training and match days.
