to join our bespoke fitted furniture workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and finishing high-end furniture components to the highest standards using various spray finishes, including paints, lacquers, and stains.
You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our finishes, working closely with our production and joinery teams to ensure that each piece meets both customer expectations and our internal quality benchmarks.
This position requires a
minimum of 5 years' experience
in a similar role, with a strong understanding of spray finishing techniques, materials, and equipment used in the high-end furniture or joinery sector.
Responsibilities
Prepare furniture components for finishing (sanding, filling, cleaning, masking)
Mix and apply a range of finishes including lacquers, paints, stains, and sealers
Operate and maintain spray booth equipment to ensure a clean, controlled environment
Ensure all sprayed finishes meet the company's high-quality standards
Work closely with the joinery and assembly teams to coordinate finishing schedules
Carry out colour matching and blending when required
Perform quality checks and touch-ups as needed
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Monitor stock levels of finishing materials and request reorders when necessary
Record finishing processes and maintain job documentation where required
Follow proper waste disposal procedures for materials and cleaning agents
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience
in spray finishing within the furniture, cabinetry, or joinery industry
Proven expertise in applying
lacquers, paints, stains, and high-end finishes
Strong understanding of
spray booth operation
, including equipment setup, maintenance, and safety protocols
Skilled in
surface preparation techniques

Ability to

High level of

Familiarity with
2-pack (2K) systems
