As the SPS Manufacturing Team Leader you will be responsible for the full quality remit for the Small Panels department. You will direct the activities of the team members, focusing on quality of output whilst achieving the desired production targets. Whilst reporting directly to the SPS Production Manager, you will interface with other production teams, stores, quality, product development and engineering.
This challenging position places high premiums on effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, intelligent judgment, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and, most importantly, an unwavering dedication to the quality of the product produced.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall audit of SPS output,
Carry out '8Ds' & '5 Why' investigations in order to identify root cause for non-conforming panels.
Suggest containments and countermeasures for identified issues and implement these effectively,
Design and conduct daily audit checks through all processes for SPS. Including but not limited to; 'Right First Time', process performance and quality of output,
Working with SPS Management, define standard SPS quality reports and agree KPIs. Communicate SPS quality reports to key stakeholders, encouraging and owning the issue of accurate quality data from the department. Use the agreed measures to work towards setting improvements within the departments,
Manage the SPS Operation Trainers, using quality audits to focus their training schedule to reflect high risk areas or single points of failure.
Support SPS Management and Manufacturing Team Leaders with the implementation of quality countermeasures and containments. Ensure to communicate these with relevant stakeholders.
Your Qualifications & Experience
Be able to read drawings and identify potential errors in machine and manual processes, mitigating the impact to production
Experienced people manager within a manufacturing environment,
Demonstrable experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement,
Excellent communication skills,
Quality driven and customer focused,
Ability to record, analyse and disseminate data,
Knowledge or use of ERP Systems,
Competent In the use of Microsoft Office suite.

Working with precision and craftsmanship, the team transforms raw materials into finished panels and fittings that bring comfort and style to every vehicle. With a focus on detail, efficiency, and teamwork, the department ensures each piece meets our exacting standards before moving further down the production line.
