Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Squad Coach

to join our coaching team. This role involves working closely with our competitive squads, delivering high-quality training sessions, preparing athletes for competitions, and contributing to the ongoing development of the squad programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver structured, progressive training sessions for development and competitive squads. Prepare gymnasts for internal and external competitions, including choreography, routine construction, and skill development. Monitor gymnast progress and implement individual development plans. Ensure all training is conducted in line with safety, safeguarding, and governing body standards. Work collaboratively with other coaches to ensure consistency across the programme. Attend competitions and events as required, supporting gymnasts and representing the club. Communicate effectively with gymnasts and parents regarding training, goals, and progress. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented training environment.

Requirements:

Minimum Level 2 Gymnastics Coaching qualification (British Gymnastics or IGA). Proven experience coaching competitive or development squads. Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain). Up-to-date safeguarding and first aid certifications (or willingness to complete). Excellent communication, motivational, and organisational skills. Passionate about athlete development and committed to high coaching standards.

Desirable:

Level 3 or higher qualification in Women's or Men's Artistic, Acro, or General Gymnastics. Judging qualifications. Experience working with gymnasts at regional or national level. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Pay: 13.20-25.00 per hour
