Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated squad coach to join our Meon Valley Gymnastics team. Level 3 qualification or above. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating athletes in their respective disciplines. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive and motivating environment for athletes, helping them to develop their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Duties

Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual athletes and teams. Working with squad members to encourage advanced gymnastics skills. Educate athletes on techniques of improving gymnastics skills. Conduct regular training sessions, ensuring they are engaging, effective, and safe. Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement. Foster a supportive team atmosphere that encourages participation and personal growth. Organise and lead practice sessions, drills, and competitive events. Maintain open communication with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and expectations. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines during training sessions.

Experience

Proven experience in squad gymnastics coaching is essential. Strong understanding of the principles of coaching and athlete development. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate effectively. Ability to inspire and motivate athletes of varying skill levels and ages.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 20.00-30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 8 per week
