As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Infrastructure Platforms, you are an integral part of an agile team that builds critical frameworks and UIs that drive the next generation of Kubernetes based Atlas infrastructure provisioning platforms.



Job responsibilities



Design and develop high-quality software applications and frameworks using firmwide languages and technologies, including but not limited to Golang, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, and Kubernetes. Serve as an ambassador for CFS architecture and frameworks, providing consultation to various teams within CFS to build solutions using the aforementioned technologies. Enhance and maintain web frontend applications using frameworks such as React, Angular, or VueJS. Develop custom build and deployment Groovy pipelines for creating Docker images and deploying them to Kubernetes and AWS (Amazon Web Services). Work on proof-of-concept projects to validate architectural guidelines. Ensure the health of team codebases by maintaining code quality and addressing vulnerabilities, utilizing tools like SSAP and Sonar for scanning reports. Create high-quality technical documentation for frameworks and tools.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience. Extensive software development experience using server-side programming languages such as Java or Golang. Experience creating REST APIs. Experience with build and packaging tools like Maven, Docker, Go Modules or NPM. Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and Nodejs based web frameworks like VueJS, React, or Angular, as well as CSS frameworks. Experience with deploying applications to cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Cloud Foundry.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills



Agile/Scrum as well as Waterfall development methodologies Build automation (static and dynamic analysis) and frameworks with software engineers that are able to improve security, whilst also improving developer and customer experience. Provide challenge and assessment of potential technology risks including information and cyber security control weaknesses by performing threat modelling exercises. Provide technology risk subject matter expertise and communicate the risk environment to management and other key stakeholders. * Build solid professional relationships with matrixed teams to include technology, business, audit, and operational risk partners
