Primary Purpose: To create a safe and secure environment for customers and employees through protecting the assets of the company including stock, cash, information etc. by addressing all aspects of risk and loss, including public and internal dishonesty, procedural failure, administrative error and wastage. Identify and address risks to the Europe business, including programmatic support of business continuity and resiliency for stores and corporate locations. Provide informed recommendations and solutions to measure performance and successes across the European business.

  • Implement company Asset Protection (AP) strategy, develop detailed Europe AP strategy and align AP activity to company, regional and Country goals. Provide process and policy recommendations whilst maintaining regular contact with relevant Europe business partners.
  • Conduct store visits, and other company premises, prioritised by risk, ensuring consistent application of company policy and procedures are being adhered to. Produce detailed reports on findings and make recommendations to minimise risk and prevent all forms of loss.
  • Analyze AP database and other exception report information available to prioritize actions to ensure maximum effectiveness of AP activities in dealing with stores or individuals that have high risk KPI\'s being shown. Present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
  • Conduct investigations into internal and external theft/fraud, non-compliance issues, and other areas of potential loss. Completion of reports and necessary documentation to successfully present case files that will satisfy criminal courts and /or internal disciplinary hearings. Ensuring that all case files are Tapestry audit compliant.
  • Review AP equipment to ensure it aligns and meets company standards, reviewing effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement/implementation.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to store teams to support their efforts to reduce shrink whilst aiming to achieve annual shortage goals.
  • In partnership with the Area Managers, conduct country wide workshops and training sessions with the store teams to develop an AP culture, which delivers a professional experience, whilst delivering education in the reduction of shrinkage and its causes.
  • Conduct and complete AP/Global Audit program, ensuring the integrity of the Audit process.
  • Monitor performance of external AP suppliers, including alarm, CCTV, and guard services and report issues to operations department.
  • Develop, implement, and lead AP and risk management initiatives and general company campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain an internal and external network including relevant enforcement authorities to keep up to date with industry trends and pursue AP best practice. Regular attendance at RCI/BCRP meetings for stores in the AOR is critical.
  • Support organized retail crime (ORC) investigations as needed.
  • Partner with store and store leadership teams to effectively manage crisis situations such as active threat, workplace violence, protests, and demonstrations.
  • Identification and escalation of any store or corporate premises based risks associated with Staff Personal Safety, Health and Safety, Fire and Incident/Crisis management. Assess and support training of all resiliency and business continuity program management.
  • Developing and maintaining appropriate up to date knowledge, experience & expertise in the company, and its products & services, whilst ensuring the company is compliant of external working practices of professional, regulatory, and technical standards.

  • Expert in store, policy and procedure.
  • Knowledge of security related criminal law, employment laws, H&S laws, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ability to analyze data to drive results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stake holders.
  • Ability to work as a team towards common goals.
  • Minimum 1-3 years previous experience in a multi-site, or large single site management role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Asset protection /Security/Risk/Audit/Investigator related qualification (desirable not essential).
