The Sr. Manager Regulatory, Hygiene is responsible for leading, developing and managing a world-class regulatory team of specialists focused on the North America professional hygiene and home & personal care (HPC) markets. In this role you will be both a leader and a hands-on contributor to deliver business results obtaining/maintaining regulatory product approvals, responding to regulatory challenges, providing effective customer support, and ensuring effective support for innovation activities.
As a member of the CMC NA Regulatory Leadership Team, you will be providing a high level of expertise and guidance to business leaders on regulatory strategies to optimize the position of products in the market and support a regulatory compliant culture. You will also have responsibility for expert external engagement with key customers, industry associations, and industry consortia with co-suppliers and competitors. This position is located at our Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of expert advice on opportunities presented by regulatory changes and the compliance requirements of constantly evolving regulatory landscape.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, business leaders and regulatory leaders.
Manage & maintain regulatory compliance on existing portfolio.
Develop, manage, a team of Regulatory professionals.
Develop and implement regulatory strategies for active substances, biocidal products, and other products as appropriate.
Represent Arxada externally with key regulatory agency officials trade groups.
Proactively monitor opportunities and threats arising from new regulations and standards.
Develop and manage an annual department budget.
Demonstrate strong commercial orientation in support of external customers.
Key Requirements:
Postgraduate or degree level, preferably PhD; preferred area of study: ideally Life Sciences or Chemistry based.
9+ years industrial experience or degree level and typically 12+ years industrial experience with at least 5+ years in regulatory affairs (ideally in antimicrobials).
People management experience, or a clear aptitude for leading people.
Demonstrated experience in representing an organization externally and established relationships with appropriate agencies ( BPR ) and authorities.
In depth knowledge of the EMEA or EU, UK chemical's regulatory framework; particularly the BPR antimicrobials regulations, and with some knowledge of allied regulations (Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical products, TSCA, Crop Pesticide Products).
Strong technical expertise with understanding of chemistry, efficacy, toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate, or risk assessment methodologies.
High-level understanding for standards and accurate documentation. Failure to adhere to this competency can lead to dossiers being rejected with consequent financial and time losses.
Anticipated travel - 10% - 15%
