The Global Engineering Services (GES) is seeking an experienced program manager to join the Middle Mile Engineering Programs (MMEP) team to support the Middle Mile logistics network in Europe and the UK. Our program managers are key players in delivering end-to-end solutions to our logistics network, thinking about the bigger picture, influencing key business decisions, and pioneering new ways of thinking. In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across organizations and regions, scoping new solutions and making a big impact on some of the most exciting ideas that are shaping the future of Amazon.
As a program manager, the candidate will create the program planning structure for the Container Load Program (CLP) initiatives across all miles and Infrastructure Capacity Program workstreams (ICP), in both EU and UK. CLP is a cross-BU initiative focused on optimizing how outbound volume is loaded and transported across the EU network. It governs three primary container types--Fluid Loading, Carts, and Bags. ICP focuses on maximizing Middle Mile asset utilization by unblocking infrastructure capacity blockers and establishing maximum operational site capabilities.
The PM will establish clear prioritization and alignments between long-term capacity initiatives, containerization strategy and GES Middle Mile Engineering Programs partner teams to facilitate E2E integration of the program's engineering requirements, opportunities, and network demands. Working in partnership with Operations, Finance, Network Planning, ACES, and Engineering teams, the Program Manager will coordinate the development and implementation of comprehensive program roadmaps, integration of multiple workstreams, lead business cases, coordinate program requirements across organizations, lead leadership updates (QBR, MBRs), and develop/review year-on-year program plans and entitlement. This role will also lead seasonal container injection and repair planning.

Key job responsibilities
This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, program management skills, and strong communication abilities to coordinate complex logistics initiatives across Europe and the UK:
Develop comprehensive roadmaps and year-on-year program plans
Establish prioritization between capacity initiatives and containerization strategy

A day in the life
As a program manager, you will need continuous alignment and understanding of the network long term demands, available engineering solutions, financial assessments and comparison between different potential solutions. The PM develops and implements the roadmap of the program and not only coordinates, but understands and provides guidance to teams. The PM has high ownership and sets the pace of the program. They provide directive actions on where to focus as it they have the long term and bigger picture as a goal. When needed the PM will actively direct teams during execution, manage escalations, approvals and dive deep into financial, network demand, procurement, operations, engineering or real estate topics to deliver results.

French, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.
