Lead Safety, Quality and Performance as the
Shift Manager.
As the focal point for shift operations, the Shift Manager will lead the shift team and oversee all aspects of Rolling, Finishing and Despatch operations. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll be responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the shift operation team across furnace, rolling, cooling, finishing and despatching areas across multidiscipline including Operations, Technical and Engineering
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
Execute shift performance and contribute to operational planning to achieve daily, weekly and long term production targets.
Ensure material rolled meetings customer requirements and specifications, and communicate to teams trial information for new product development of process improvements
When deviations to SOP's and FMEA's occur, conduct failure reduction sessions and root cause analysis to ensure containment actions are in place and identify immediate corrective and preventative actions
Coach and Mentor teams and support workforce development, including training plans for individuals to create a flexible working team

Oversee and develop skills through our

Champion flow efficiency and product quality as the
Shift Operations Manager.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Shift Operations Manager focuses on downstream operations including cooling, finishing, and despatch. This role focuses on the material flow through the finishing end of the rolling mill and the materials fit for purpose for the customer, including product sampling and testing, and preparation of material for further technical analysis. It's ideal for individuals with operational experience who are ready to grow into leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the finishing and technical shift operation team across cooling, finishing and despatching areas
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Coordinate with the shift manager, the maintenance and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues in the finishing department.
Roll and handle material in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Lead product sampling and testing activities to ensure compliance and traceability.
Execute shift performance and contribute to operational planning to achieve daily and weekly targets.
Support Root Cause analysis and failure reduction techniques when deviations to SOP's and FMEA's occur, to ensure containment actions are in place and identify immediate corrective and preventative actions
Coach and Mentor teams and support workforce development including the creation of training plans to support a flexible working team
