Job Description

Global Rail & Construction are currently looking for an S&T Construction Manager.

Monday to Friday work. Weekends as required.

Van and fuel card supplied.

Will require working away due to the locations of work.



Understand and administer the HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance with them, consistently between pro-jects. Responsible to consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to all site management teams. To ensure all work is carried out in a safe, proper and thorough manner, taking into account Health and Safety legislation, process & procedures, risk assessments and associated WPP's / TBS. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client and staff information.

Key Accountabilities



Responsible for the day to day management of all construction activities including design liaison (where required) for our S&T projects. Supporting the project lead (PM/TIC) to deliver high quality capital & programmed works, ensuring our teams and supply chain partners operate professionally and embrace our core values and behaviours to deliver best in class customer service, whilst satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards relating to budget, profitability and resource deployment.

MAIN PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY

Provide leadership and direction at all times, to assure that company standards and policies are rigorously followed and maintained. Management of all aspects of our S&T project delivery commitments, overall contract performance in line with contractual commitments. Managing works to programme time frames, producing regular project updates relating to budget, cash flow, work pro-grammes and health and safety. Total compliance and adherence to health and safety regulations, Global Rail Construction Ltd (GRCL) standard operating procedures, core values and quality assurance accreditations. Demonstrate, maintain and monitor the company's commitment to best practice with legislation, codes of practice and good working practices relevant to all work activities. Management of direct labour resources and supply chain partners, identifying opportunities to increase productivity and capture and maximise efficiency savings. Adherence to and completion of company and client reporting protocols within required timescales. Cultivate a positive customer focused culture that is instilled and promoted across all project/ programme activities. Ensure this culture is actively demonstrated by staff through a professional approach to communication with all stakeholders, through appearance of sites, delivery, assets and individuals whilst maintaining the highest degree of health & safety standards, at all times. Ensure attainment of high levels of customer satisfaction in delivery and achieving contractual KPI targets, whilst adhering to our standard operating procedures. Set high expectations for results and hold the contract management team accountable to the measurable KPI scores asso-ciated. These details will be made available for review by the wider senior management team at the periodic review meetings. This will include the co-ordination and attendance to monthly PPR forums, weekly project progress reviews, internal IDC's etc. To attend and have input into our PPR, CVR, Cost to Complete and EOL meetings and support preparation of details in a timely manner in line with business requirements. Ensure our contractual programme is prepared, reviewed and approved both internally and by client and that regular period to period updates are issued as required by the contract. Interaction with and maintenance of, company IT systems for internal and external stakeholder requirements. To ensure operations are delivered in line with the company accreditation requirements, i.e. ISO:9001, 14001 and ISO 45001. Ensure the overall people plan for each project is robust and reflects high standards, succession planning, coupled with consistent mentoring and people development.
