We are seeking a Staff QA Engineer to partner with leadership and engineering teams across multiple departments. This senior role focuses on establishing and evolving best practices in QA engineering, with particular emphasis on automated testing for web, API, and desktop applications. You will drive automation initiatives, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, develop and execute QA strategies, and provide technical leadership and coaching to teams. A good understanding of best practices in unit testing and static code analysis is essential, as you will help embed quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.

What you'll be doing





Define, implement, and continuously improve QA engineering and automation best practices across the organization Lead the development and maintenance of automated tests for web, API, and desktop applications Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable delivery Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and metrics Champion best practices in unit testing and static code analysis Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to QA and engineering teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality improvements and resolve issues Foster a quality-driven development process and culture of continuous improvement

Who we're looking for





Strong expertise in test automation, including: +

Web:

Playwright (or similar tools) +

API:

RestSharp (or similar tools)
+

Desktop:

FlaUI (or similar tools)
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI) Understanding of unit testing frameworks and best practices (e.g., NUnit, xUnit, JUnit, Jest, etc.) Familiarity with static code analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., SonarQube, ReSharper, ESLint, etc.) Solid grasp of QA and software development methodologies (TDD, BDD, Agile) Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python) Experience in test planning, test case design, and execution Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

Nice to Have:



Performance and security testing experience Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Previous experience in a Staff or Senior QA/Automation Engineer role

Within 1 month: Engage with leadership and engineering teams.



Within 3 months: Working with various teams to lead, implement and execute automated QA initiatives.



Within 6 months: Be fully integrated into the project lifecycles, providing trusted advice on automated QA and implementing best practice.
