Langford Vets are delighted to invite applications to an exciting opportunity within our blended medicine and emergency and critical care team.
This full time, 12-month, fixed-term role, available from January 2026, is ideally suited to ECVIM/ACVIM or ECVECC/ACVECC residency-trained candidates who are preparing to sit their specialist board exams; early career diplomates would also be considered.
The main focus of this role is primary case responsibility, from admission through to hospital discharge, and is intended to support the provision of a dynamic and flexible medicine and emergency service, alongside the wider medicine team. The caseload for this role is biased towards acute and emergency patients, although will be tailored depending on the appointee's specialism.
You will participate in the delivery of an exceptional standard of clinical care, working within our large team of medicine and emergency and critical care specialists, residency trained staff clinician and residents, alongside other specialties within the Small Animal Referral Hospital.
This role primarily provides the opportunity for supported independent development within a collaborative team, alongside which you are expected to deliver high quality clinical teaching to undergraduate veterinary and veterinary nursing students. There may also be the possibility, where appropriate, for selected supervision of our medicine residents and interns.
The successful candidate is expected to sit their board exams during the position, unless already obtained.
