The Environmental Advisor (Landscape) will work on environmental and sustainable design of infrastructure projects in co-operation with our architects, engineers and consultants to create world-class designs according to budget constraints, design factors and client needs. This could include new projects, alterations and redevelopments on various projects, including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government and military facilities. This role could include compliance, regulations, studies, assessments, design proposals, and planning/permitting. This role involves high level design, assessment and report writing skills.


Leads projects for internal and external clients to develop landscape design packages for projects such as sub-stations, data centres and public/private sector clients to ensure design expectations of the project are met. Performs zoning analyses and reviews of local authority (T&CPA)/Planning Inspectorate (DCO for NSIP) requirements and aligns these with project requirements and deliverables. Provides diversified knowledge of hard and soft landscape architecture principles and practices in broad areas. Prepares production of design graphics using CAD/Revit/GIS/Adobe Creative Suite, for concept, feasibility, proposals, client renderings, detailed design and construction documents. Prepares communication plans with project teams, clients, review agencies and others as appropriate to the project. Manages the preparation of project drawings, exhibits, calculations, specifications, planting schedules, and landscape maintenance plans with engineers, designers and technicians. Visits project sites to review conditions and recommend changes as appropriate. Prepares project-related materials for pubic discussions and presentations and undertakes public consultation events. Conducts field observations to monitor project implementation, including coordination with the client to ensure the project is implemented successfully. Prepares project-related correspondence as appropriate. Participates in sales and marketing efforts and identifies critical pursuits and tenders. Contributes to developing cost proposals and qualification documents to achieve targets and standards for financial performance. Contribute to project budgeting, cost estimation and reporting of project performance. Effective communication with other engineering disciplines.

Qualifications




Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture or a related degree from an accredited program. Post-Graduate Diploma/Masters in Landscape Architecture is required Minimum 4 years of experience in landscape architecture. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS & MS Office. Sketching and 3-D rendering skills would be a benefit Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills. Strong computer skills. Strong attention to detail, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
