Can you support your team to provide excellent inpatient care for our patients? and supporting your nursing colleagues along the way?

Ashurst ward is a 11-bedded male psychiatric intensive care unit. We are looking for a staff nurse with a caring, non-judgmental, and inclusive attitude, who is committed to the delivery of safe, high quality care. Experience in an acute setting would be an advantage, but is not essential as we will provide you with all the training required.

Support for further training and education, potential training to the right candidate could include Phlebotomy training, Psychosocial Intervention training and Immediate Life Support training, Family Intervention



Access to additional training to further support your career and progression on the ward, and within the trust!



A large variety and range of available additional training through our L+D services, we encourage and support staff where possible to participate in further training and education while on the ward.



You will assist our dedicated members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in implementing and evaluating individual care plans by working alongside the patient to support their recovery journey. Your duties will also include actively supporting individual clients in engaging with their local community and reducing social isolation.



you will:



Be responsible for the co-ordination and management of the ward for a span of duty



Assist in every aspect of the management of an acute inpatient unit



Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to patients and carers



Provide high quality of holistic nursing care to patients and carers



Contribute to the development of acute inpatient services
