An exciting opportunity has arisen to employ a dynamic forward thinking individual as a Band 6 staff nurse on Horder Ward. Horder ward is an 12 bedded Acute oncology ward caring for patients undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy. Horder ward also cares for palliative patients who have complex symptom control and psychological needs.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate and competent nurse who has a specialise interest in palliative care. The ideal candiate is someone who works well under pressure, with excellent time management skills and is dedicated to excellent patient care.

To coordinate and supervise a shift, communicating effectively with members of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, evidence-led care to patients.
To exercise clinical judgment and decision making about patient needs in terms of long term goals or
plans.
To participate fully in the day to day organization and running of clinical trials including the recruitment, education and monitoring of patients entering a clinical trial and liaison as required with
