Staff Nurse, Frimley Park Hospital



We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate nurse to join our dedicated Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Frimley Park Hospital. Our purpose-built unit provides specialist care for patients with Cystic Fibrosis, and occasionally for those with other respiratory conditions. The unit comprises five inpatient rooms and five outpatient consultation rooms , offering a unique setting where you can develop specialist skills while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

With minimal supervision , be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients needs



To assist in promotion of health



Demonstrate sound knowledge of infection control standards and promote these within a unit environment



To participate and assist in the systematic monitoring and evaluation of nursing care



To liaise with the team leaders on untoward incidents ,complaints and team/staff issues



To act in accordance with the trust policies



To maintain your own profile



To act as a mentor to care assistants and assist in the induction of new staff



To support maintain team nursing, promoting good working relationship s within the MDT and internal and external contacts



To attend meetings and generate new ideas and initiatives



To attend mandatory updates in Fire, manual handling and blood transfusion



To act as nurse in charge of the unit, co-ordinating admissions, transfers and discharges



To ensure confidentiality or patients information regarding patients, families and friends at all time
