We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, nurse with a passion for cardiology to join our committed team on the Acute Cardiac Unit in the Specialist Medicine Division.



ACU is a 27 bedded Cardiac Unit. Should you be successful you will work within a specialised area, providing high quality care to patients with a variety of cardiac conditions including heart failure, ischaemic heart disease, myocardial infarction, valve disease and endocarditis. Working within this specialty you will be expected to take on extended roles associated with the specialism.



The ward is supported by an enthusiastic and established multidisciplinary team and we are seeking a dynamic and motivated nurse that is an enthusiastic team player. This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (25000), and any role-specific criteria.

When required, to liaise and work collaboratively with other specialities to ensure the consistent management of patients.



Provide individualised education and psychological support to patients and their relatives.



Determine barriers to client education and/or health behaviour change.

Ensure that any safeguarding risks are escalated appropriately to enable investigation.



Provide life support to standards set by the UK Resuscitation Council.

Provide individualised education and psychological support to patients and their relatives.



Take initiative and respond calmly to any emergency situations.



Support discharge planning and patient flow.



Use advanced skills to assess, develop and evaluate plans of care for patients with cardiology needs.



Undertake clinical duties and act as an expert practitioner demonstrating specialist knowledge and skills to support patients and their relatives
