Duties include catheterisation, assisting with procedures like flexible cystoscopies and prostate biopsies, supporting specialist nurses, and potentially running nurse-led clinics. The role provides a strong foundation for development within urology nursing, with opportunities for learning new skills and contributing to patient recovery and management.
Main duties of the job
Delivering direct patient care within the urology outpatient setting, assisting with specialized procedures like flexible cystoscopies, managing catheter care, and supporting nurse-led clinics such as Trial Without Catheter (TWOC) clinics, and prostate biopsies. Key duties include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care under senior guidance, administering treatments, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, and maintaining accurate patient records to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
