Cumbria, Northumberland Tyne, and Wear have an exciting opportunity to join our female adult acute inpatient ward at Bamburgh Clinic, St Nichols Hospital. We have 3 inpatient wards which are all 18 bedded adult acute admissions ward providing treatment and care for a wide range of mental health illnesses to patients who are of working age.
If you are newly qualified, we will support you while in clinical practice and offer a trust preceptorship program.
We currently have x 2 full time positions available.

We provide inpatient facilities for working age adults with acute mental health problems and we are looking for caring, compassionate individual to work within our acute service who are committed to providing high quality care and treatment to our patients. Working in an acute environment can be challenging but with the right team, positive attitude, and resilience we are rising the challenge and reaping the reward of being able to support people during their most difficult times.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide assessment and treatment functions who possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Main duties of the job

  • Delivering a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families.
  • Acting as a named nurse to a group of patients under the direction/supervision of the person identified with continuing responsibility.
  • Participation in therapeutic programmes.
  • Responsivity for assessment of care needs and contributing to the formulation of the persons needs and the development of relevant plan based upon the persons negotiated goals and relevant evidence-based interventions.
  • Work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, provide nursing intervention to support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and or participate in the review and progress, utilising recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carer through the clinical care and treatment pathway.
