We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and a passion for enhancing patient outcomes.
Duties
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
Assist in procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care delivery.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or critical care units is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation standards (NCQA).
Proficient in using EMR systems for accurate medical documentation.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
Experience in specialized areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, or trauma medicine is a plus.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to triage effectively in emergency situations.
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Candidates with additional skills such as experience in dialysis, pain management, behavioral health, or home & community care are encouraged to apply.
