Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RGN to join our team in providing exceptional care within a residential setting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of our care home, ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals in assisted living and dementia care.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Oversee medication administration and ensure that all staff are trained in proper procedures. Lead and support a team of caregivers, fostering an environment of teamwork and professional development. Conduct assessments of residents' needs and develop personalised care plans in collaboration with nursing staff. Maintain accurate records of resident care, medication administration, and staff performance. Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Assist in training new staff members on policies, procedures, and best practices in home care. Promote a safe and welcoming environment for residents, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in supervising staff within a home care or assisted living environment. Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and dementia care practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Compassionate approach to caregiving with a focus on enhancing residents' quality of life. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
