We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Nurse RGN to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various medical settings, including hospital, outpatient, and post-acute care environments. This role requires a compassionate professional with strong clinical skills, capable of managing diverse patient needs in fast-paced settings such as emergency rooms, intensive care units, and medical-surgical wards. The Staff Nurse RGN will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care while adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and physiological evaluations
Administer medications and injections safely following established protocols
Perform venipuncture and IV insertions with proficiency
Document patient information accurately using EMR/EHR systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition, especially in emergency or trauma settings such as Level I and Level II trauma centers
Assist with procedures in various departments including OR, PICU, urgent care, and geriatrics units
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and policies
Qualifications
Valid Registered General Nurse (RGN) license or equivalent certification
Experience working in Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine environments preferred
Proven experience in hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, or outpatient clinics
Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation standards
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology
Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced nursing procedures such as IV insertion, venipuncture, and medication administration
Experience caring for diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics (PICU), post-acute care patients, and those requiring infectious disease management
Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to recognize urgent health issues quickly
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
Effective communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 22.00-25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
