We are looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated staff nurse to join our team on ward 103. We are a busy Emergency Surgery ward, consisting of 27 beds.
We take care of Surgical patients pre and post operatively. If you have an interest in working in this area, please don't hesitate to apply.
Newly qualified and 3rd year students welcome to apply and will be supported.
Care of patients pre and post operatively
Medicines management
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team
Advocate for patients
Documentation (care plans, risk assessments)
Prioritisation of workload
Take on the responsibility and accountability for allocated patients.
Observations
Venepuncture and cannulation
Knowledge of safeguarding policies
Knowledge of complex discharges
Knowledge of palliative care
Knowledge of TVN

To be familiar with medicines management policies and administer and store medications safely.
You will be required to complete documentation, which is clear and legible. You will also need to be able to use technology and be familiar with I portal and care flow.
You will be expected to be responsible and and accountable for your allocated patients and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
To complete skills such as, catheters, observations, venepuncture and cannulation.
To ensure statutory and mandatory training is up to date.
