Overview of Elanic Hospital:



Elanic Hospital has just opened, offering a new private hospital service for Glasgow City Centre and Central Scotland. Situated on Bath Street, the hospital is the expansion of the successful Elanic Clinic which has been undertaking day-surgery since 2013.

The hospital adds two new operating theatres to Elanic's facilities, one of which is an Ultra-Clean laminar flow theatre, capable of joint surgery, and means a total of three operating theatres within the Elanic facilities. In addition to the operating theatre capacity, the hospital has; five inpatient bedrooms, one of which offers high dependency functionality; a daycase surgery recovery suite; and consulting space.

Elanic Hospital will build on the high quality and high patient satisfaction reputation of Elanic Clinic who achieved a 'Good' rating from Healthcare Improvement Scotland in June 2024 and has exceptionally low infection rates.

The hospital will be offering treatments/procedures in multiple specialties including; Orthopaedic, General, Bariatrics, Plastics/Cosmetics, ENT, Gynaecology, and more.

Overview of Position:



The Nurse is responsible for working as part of a hospital ward team delivering direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.

Personal Attributes & Skills



Essential:



RGN/NMC qualified with current registration and PIN. Experience in Wards with a minimum of one years post qualification experience. PC literate with intermediate skills on all Microsoft Office packages. A strong focus on customer care. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Desirable:



Working knowledge of Clinic Office or equivalent Patient Admin software package. Familiar with workplace regulations (Health and Safety at Work; Data Protection; Employment Law & Practices).

Key Responsibilities and Duties



Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols. Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly. Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in condition, and escalate appropriately using clinical judgement. Administer medications safely and effectively in accordance with hospital policies and the NMC Code. Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations. Ensure that all care provided complies with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies. Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures
