Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our team on Ward C21 a 25 bedded General Ward based at Warrington Hospital.



The successful applicant will be professional, motivated and reliable and will strive to deliver care and treatment that results in positive outcomes and experiences for those requiring our care.



Our fast paced working environment and supportive team are suitable for newly qualified staff as well as experienced nurses. Our team will support you to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to practice effectively within your current role, and as means to progressing towards future carer aspirations.



Be accountable for performing regular assessments on patient needs, to plan, implement and evaluate care delivery and be adaptable to changing health care requirements.



You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication with patients, relatives and carers to always ensure their involvement in the decisions about treatment, planning and the delivery of their care.



You will take responsibility for working collaboratively with your team, other professionals and agencies to always ensure the patient's needs are met, especially in relation to their on-going health care needs, their transfer and their discharge planning.



Be accountable for ensuring your daily practice fulfils your professional requirements as outlined by the NMC code of conduct and guiding documents.



Be accountable for maintaining your active status on the NMC register.



You will actively participate in patient and public involvement activities.



All employees have the responsibility to comply with the Trusts Infection Control and Prevention policies and procedures at all times. Strict adherence to effective hand hygiene is essential.
