Staff Nurse - Lymphoedema

What we do

Compton Care is proud to provide care and support to those living with life limiting conditions through several dedicated but also interlinked services including our inpatient unit, community care, our living well centre, lymphoedema services and supportive care services.

What will you do?

As a Staff Nurse, you will provide hands on care, offer specialist knowledge, expertise and support to the patient and carer as well as other health and social care professionals. Support the Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver prompt effective personalised treatment plans to individuals identified to have lymphoedema. Physical aspects of treatment include measuring limbs and applying compression hosiery, multi layered bandaging and specialist lymphoedema treatment.


We are seeking someone with strong assessment skills and the ability to work autonomously in both clinic settings and within patients' own homes. The role requires confidence in making clinical decisions, prioritising care, and adapting to different environments while maintaining high standards of patient-centred care.

What we want you to bring.

You will need to be a qualified Registered Nurse, ideally with previous experience in lymphoedema care, oncology, or palliative care, but those who have a community or tissue viability background will also be considered. You will need to be able to demonstrate good practice in a health care setting. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skill and be able to demonstrate the ability to be compassionate and sensitive towards our service users and your colleagues.


You should be able to use IT and be familiar with packages such as Word and Excel.


You need to have a full driving licence as there will be a requirement to travel.
