Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Care Home. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth, and have a strong background in various specialties such as critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and post-acute care. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and infection control standards, and supporting patient assessment and education. The Staff Nurse will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing services in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism, teamwork, and excellence in patient care.

Duties



Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations. Administer medications and injections accurately following medical orders while maintaining aseptic technique. Perform IV insertions, catheterizations, tube feedings, phlebotomy, and specimen collection/processing. Manage airway support including ventilator care and oxygen therapy; handle emergency procedures such as airway management and acute pain management. Document all patient interactions and procedures meticulously within EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as sonography, mammography, or laboratory testing as required. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including neonatal ventilator management, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice & palliative medicine, and working with people with developmental disabilities. Support discharge planning, case management, health coaching, and patient education to promote recovery and well-being. Maintain infection control protocols and sterile processing standards to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as Level I & II Trauma Centers, teaching hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments.

Qualifications



Valid nursing license (RN) with current registration. Extensive experience in various clinical settings such as ICU, ER, PACU, medical-surgical units, pediatrics (including neonatal intensive care), geriatrics (including memory & behavioral health), or post-acute care environments. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding and CPT coding is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology; capable of performing physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations. Experience administering injections; IV infusion; catheter care; tube feeding; ventilator management; sterile technique; infection control practices; specimen collection/processing; medication administration; airway management; pain management strategies; discharge planning; and working within HIPAA regulations. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children (pediatric & neonatal), seniors (geriatrics), individuals with disabilities or complex chronic conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Critical care experience including ICU or trauma center background highly desirable. Additional skills such as dermal fillers administration or esthetic laser treatment are advantageous but not required. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33 - 44 per week
