Key Responsibilities:

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Provide personal care, assistance with daily living activities, and support with mobility for children and adults. Support individuals with complex needs, including physical disabilities, chronic conditions, and recovery from surgery. Assist with medication management and basic healthcare tasks as directed by registered nurses. Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the quality of life for those in your care. Help with light housekeeping duties and meal preparation, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Providing patient care by assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. Monitoring and recording vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Assisting with medication administration as directed by nursing staff. Supporting patients with mobility and ensuring their safety at all times. Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in patient areas. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Documenting patient information accurately in accordance with organisational policies.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:

Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred but not essential. A solid understanding of basic anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient care. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A compassionate approach to patient care with strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the healthcare setting. Registered Nurses: Administer clinical care for children and adults with complex needs, including complex wound care, injections, and catheter management. Provide hands-on care and ensure rehabilitation programs are tailored to each client's needs. Guide and support care assistants in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Regularly assess patients' health status and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.

Who We're Looking For:

Care Assistants: Passion for providing care to individuals with complex needs and disabilities. Experience in domiciliary care or willingness to learn (training provided). Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing tailored care to each individual.

Registered Nurses: Current NMC registration with a valid PIN. Experience in complex care, palliative care, or long-term care preferred. Ability to assess and provide care for individuals with complex medical conditions. Compassionate, reliable, and professional, with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients. Ability to work independently and guide care assistants in a team environment.
