Job Description

oExamine existing software and collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements for new or modified systems based on business needs.

oWrite and code individual programs according to specifications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

oUndertake feasibility studies to design effective and efficient software solutions.

oDevelop user interfaces that are intuitive and user-friendly.

oTest and correct software programs to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.

oIdentify and address any bugs or issues through systematic debugging processes.

oWrite specialized code for various applications, including but not limited to artificial intelligence.

oImplement and evaluate software solutions to ensure they meet specified requirements and standards.

oCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software into existing systems.

oPlan and maintain database structures, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.

oImplement database-related enhancements and optimizations.

oWrite operational documentation for software applications to facilitate understanding and usage.

oProvide ongoing support and training to users, ensuring they are proficient in utilizing software tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

oBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

oProven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.

oStrong programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, Python, etc.

oExperience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

oKnowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.

oExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

oEffective communication and collaboration abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 36,000.00-45,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Birmingham B18 6BA
