Job Description

Ableworld are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic proactive Stairlift Technician to support their stores in the field of sale, installation, maintenance and repair of stairlifts and mobility products. On Target Earnings including bonuses, on-call and overtime take the salary to c. 36,000 pa.
Your base will be St Helens and will cover the North West, focusing on our stores in Hyde, Wigan, Wavertree, Southport, Blackpool and Salford attending to customer stairlift installations, breakdowns and repairs.

Ideal candidate will come from an engineering or an electrical background, however consideration will be given to a trainee with good electrical/mechanical skills.

The hours of work will be 9 am to 5.00pm working any 5 days over 7 as per rota basis.. We operate a 24 hour call out service on a Rota basis for which an additional generous payment is made. In addition, a bonus scheme based on number of stairlift referrals made and stairlifts fitted is in operation, adding substantially to the basic salary.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

Installation, maintenance and repairs of stairlifts Assist with the repairs of various mobility products Assist with repairs to mobility products Assist with any other duties in store
Skills and Experience:

Good communication and customer service skills Technical competence (or be willing to learn) Some computer knowledge would be an advantage A flexible and mature attitude to work

A clean driving licence will be essential to the role and a company vehicle is provided. You must be prepared to disclose any endorsements on your driving licence on an annual basis.

A DBS check (formerly CRB) will be required for which Ableworld will meet the cost.
