The Role
We've got an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to join our friendly team. You'll be servicing, repairing, and installing stairlifts, overhead hoists, and other mobility equipment in customers' homes. Every day is different - one day you're solving a tricky electrical fault, the next you're making someone's life easier with a brand-new lift installation.
We're looking for an experienced, technically minded engineer to join our friendly, supportive team. The role involves servicing, repairing, and installing a variety of mobility products - primarily stairlifts and overhead hoists - within customers' homes.
Each day brings something different, so this position suits someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and meaningful customer interaction.
You'll be provided with a company van, smartphone, and where required, a tablet or laptop. A full UK driving licence and a clean DBS check are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Service, repair and install stairlifts and overhead hoists.
Carry out LOLER inspections on lifting equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical/mechanical faults.
Occasionally support other mobility product areas (training provided).
Deliver outstanding customer service at every visit.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in the mobility industry (stairlifts or hoists preferred).
Solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability.
Smart, polite, and trustworthy - able to support customers with patience and empathy.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Computer literate with accurate record-keeping and cash handling ability.
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
Physically capable of manual handling and equipment movement.
Strong customer service track record.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Working Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm, 30-minute lunch).
Participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota (approximately one week in twelve).
