A Fantastic Opportunity: STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT MANAGER



We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Stakeholder Engagement Manager to drive the delivery of our Stakeholder Engagement strategy. Working within a team, in this role, you'll be responsible for identifying and managing key stakeholder relationships, facilitating meaningful engagement across the organisation and with external partners. You'll coordinate reporting and external assurance processes, ensuring engagement activities are impactful and help shape business decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence change, manage reputational risk, and support collaborative initiatives that align with our business planning and advisory frameworks.

Manage and implement Electricity North West's stakeholder engagement strategies including reporting. Lead, develop and manage external stakeholder, meetings and special events including strategic liaison with ELT, panels, partners and internal colleagues. Proactively identify opportunities for external events and engagement and manage SP ENW attendance and maximise benefit. Manage regular internal stakeholder engagement coordination and drive and coordinate engagement across the organisation. Proactively support business units to effectively consult and engage stakeholders on relevant projects and identify, coordinate and develop new opportunities, briefings and materials Identify, develop and maintain valuable regional strategic stakeholder relationships and work with leaders and colleagues across the business to maximise opportunities. Manage and record stakeholder satisfaction outcomes and research projects to continually improve stakeholder satisfaction. Manage stakeholder contact through the implementation of a stakeholder contact management system (Tractivity) Maintain SP Electricity North West's list of external stakeholders including regular stakeholder mapping and proactively identifying and adding new contacts Represent SP Electricity North West at stakeholder engagement information-sharing events Support the ED3 Business Plan Development stakeholder engagement activities as required.

Wider support: Support the wider communication team when needed on colleague engagement events, incident response and ad hoc activities. Occasionally having to work early, late or weekends if required. Work closely with the wider Communications Team to ensure consistent messaging and to maximise opportunities

The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.



For this role we are able to consider flexible working and part time options (pro-rata). The role also benefits from the opportunity for agile working with agreed office days. Some travel across the North West will be expected.



What we're looking for

Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience Experience in stakeholder engagement in corporate, regulatory or government environment and developing and maintaining stakeholder networks Understanding of stakeholder reporting and consultation principles, tools, experience and knowledge of assurance processes including AA1000 AccountAbility Principles Standard (AA1000APS) Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills, verbal and written communication skills Understanding of reputation and issues management in a corporate reputation context Outcome focussed approach, with ability to quantify results to show return on investment High level project management skills Ability to manage external agencies to time and budget to support communications team objectives
