We are recruiting on behalf of an incredible charity who are on a mission to eradicate stalking and create a world where everyone can live without fear. As a Stalking Advocate, you\'ll be at the forefront of this vital movement, working with a dynamic team to provide unparalleled support and resources to survivors of stalking.

\xf0\x9f\x8c\x9f What You\'ll Do:

  • Empowerment: You\'ll be the lifeline for survivors, offering a compassionate ear and unwavering support. Your role will involve helping survivors regain control of their lives, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to feel safe and empowered.
  • Education: Educate communities and individuals about the signs of stalking and the steps to take if they or someone they know is a victim. You\'ll be an advocate for spreading awareness and helping to prevent stalking from happening in the first place.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with law enforcement, legal professionals, and social services to ensure survivors receive the comprehensive assistance they deserve. Your expertise will be pivotal in coordinating efforts to protect and empower survivors.
  • Advocacy: Be a vocal advocate for policy changes that enhance the protection of stalking survivors and hold perpetrators accountable. Your passion will drive positive change on both a micro and macro level.
\xe2\x9c\x94 To be Successful:
  • Experience of working with people affected by crime or vulnerability (s)
  • Experience of managing your own time and diary, including managing a case load and prioritizing (s)
  • Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines (s)
  • Experience of assessing risk and formulating safety plans (s)
  • Confident to attend multi-agency meetings and produce reports for such meetings (s)
  • Confident to advocate on behalf of the victim, including challenging other professionals\' standpoints where necessary (s)
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk assessment, risk management and safety planning in stalking and other forms of gender-based violence
  • A sound working knowledge of the practical, emotional, social, and economic issues facing people affected by stalking and other forms of gender-based violence (s)
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding (adults and children) (s)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional negotiation, advocacy, and interpersonal skills, at all levels
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and experience using multiple databases at one time.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a non-judgmental manner.
  • Ability to reflect on and develop own professional practice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong crisis management skills
  • Clean Full UK driving license and access to a car.
  • Ability to travel to our London headquarters for training and meetings as required.
