About Us

M-SParc, in partnership with Business in Focus and Menter M\xc3\xb4n, has secured a contract to deliver the Business Wales service as Enterprise Partnership Cymru (EPC) on behalf of the Welsh Government. Our mission is to provide expert advice and support to entrepreneurs throughout Wales.

The Role

As a Start-Up Engagement Facilitator, you will be a vital member of the Start-Up Engagement Team, playing a key role in inspiring and promoting entrepreneurial development through innovative engagement and outreach activities. If you\'re enthusiastic about shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact

Your role will involve:

  • Organising and delivering engaging entrepreneurial activities for young people and start-ups
  • Attending marketing and engagement events: Careers fairs, business exhibitions, networking and stakeholder events to promote the service
  • Coordinating pre-start up upskilling and awareness-building modules and outreach events
  • Managing a portfolio of role models, ensuring smooth coordination and communication
  • Providing a comprehensive support to clients, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their goals
  • Collaborating with internal colleagues to guide clients through the Business Wales service
  • Working with the Young People \'Role Model\' community to facilitate client onboarding and delivery activities
  • Participating in marketing and engagement events to promote the service and achieve engagement targets
  • Conducting prescribed workshops and webinars to attract and engage clients in entrepreneurial thinking and self-employment
  • Maintaining a good knowledge of public and private sector support and services available to SMEs
To be successful in this role you should possess:
  • Previous experience in working with business support services or directly with clients
  • Familiarity with engagement event planning and delivery
  • Ability to present effectively to diverse groups, both in-person and online
  • Strong networking skills to establish and maintain effective contacts
  • Proficiency in using digital platforms and IT tools including Microsoft 365
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is highly desirable and essential in some circumstances
  • Valid UK driving license and use of vehicle to travel across the region to attend events and meetings etc is essential
  • A training qualification e.g., PTLLS, Train the trainer or Coaching/mentoring qualification or ILM Level 3 in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is desirable

This is a part time, contract vacancy for 24 months initially. Hours are 18.75 per week with some flexibility. Based at M-sparc, Gaerwen with some hot desking at other company working locations.
