Brief Description
We're looking for a Station & Depot Portfolio Surveyor to join our North West & Central Region team - a role where no two days are the same. You'll be working across franchised stations and light maintenance depots, leading on everything from lease negotiations to regulatory compliance, while building trusted relationships with our customers and stakeholders.
This is a 12-month opportunity (with potential to extend or go permanent) and you can be based in Birmingham, London (Euston), Manchester, or Milton Keynes.
About the role (External)
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll:
  • Deliver professional property services - managing acquisitions, leases, compensation claims, and land use.
  • Lead on regulatory processes, ensuring compliance while driving efficiency and value.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, train operating companies, solicitors, and other partners.
  • Represent the region at key industry forums, supporting estate management initiatives and station enhancements.
  • Spot opportunities for growth, efficiency, and improved customer service.
  • Ensure property transactions are watertight and legally compliant.
In short: you'll be the go-to expert for all property matters within your portfolio.
What We're Looking For
You'll bring:
  • Degree-level education (or equivalent experience).
  • MRICS qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
It would also be great if you had:
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Strong presentation skills and proven experience in stakeholder influencing.

? Salary: The salary for this role is within the range of 43,588 to 51,719. The final offer will be based on skills, experience, and benchmarking, and will fall within this advertised range.
