We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Steel Processing Roll Forming Production Manager to oversee the machinery installation, tooling design, recalibration, tool changes, manufacturing and operational workflows within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for streamlining processes, capacity planning, successful tool changes to minimise scrap from coils, reduce downtime, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety protocols. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background steel coil processing machinery experience in a warehouse environments to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
Duties
Develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and quality.
Monitor daily operations, identify bottlenecks, production scheduling and implement corrective equipment improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless workflow integration.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Utilise hand tools and power tools for maintenance, assembly, or repair tasks as required.
Maintain accurate documentation of process changes, inspections, and maintenance activities.
In the future train team members on new procedures and ensure adherence to operational guidelines for operating machinery correctly.
Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and recommend appropriate design & engineering solutions to improve products.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all operational activities.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Proficiency in using AutoCAD design software, using hand tools and power tools for assembly and maintenance tasks.
Experience in assembly processes within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in factory layout, machine installation for coil slitting, processing roll forming is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills coupled with effective communication abilities.
