Overview

We are seeking a skilled Steel Erector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of structural steel and metal fabrication, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, working on 30 day job schedules. As an steel erector you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and installing metal structures, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Assemble and erect metal structures using hand tools and power tools. Fabricate components according to specifications and drawings. Perform welding tasks, including stick welding and working with sheet metal. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues as necessary. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. CSR, CSCS, IPAF, Manual Handling preferred or working towards
