Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction techniques and be proficient in working with metal structures. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site. The Ironworker will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing iron and steel components in various construction projects.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to specifications and blueprints. Install steel girders, columns, and other structural components on construction sites. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and weld metal materials. Perform heavy lifting as required to manoeuvre materials into place. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in welding techniques and the use of hand and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Experience in carpentry or roofing is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday. Valid commercial driving licence is a plus for transporting materials when necessary. A commitment to safety practices and procedures on-site is essential.
