Steel Profiling Operative

We now require a full-time permanent Profile Operative based at our site in Middlesbrough. Reporting to the Operations Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing quality cut steel parts to customer specifications on profiling machinery.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Operation of plasma arc machinery Drilling / machining and mechanical / plant experience would be advantageous Working in a heavy engineering environment FLT / overhead crane experience preferable Safe use of all machinery at all times Working to tight deadlines Accurately complete production paperwork Mark incoming steel with unique identification data Pre-pick steel plate ready for production, move plate to and from stock and move plate to and from process equipment using remote controlled overhead cranes To carry out a variety of different duties if required, as set by the Operations Team To maintain the company's health & safety standards at all times, including general housekeeping duties such as keeping your workstation tidy Dressing and grinding of burnt profiles and inspecting the quality of all products prior to packaging for dispatch Load and unload vehicles.

We are looking for candidates who have:

A positive attitude and are willing to learn more skills on the job Confidence on the job and are happy to take on more responsibility if necessary Experience in profile burning We are looking for a motivated individual with keen eye for detail and good numeracy skills.

Shift Pattern

The role will be weekly day shift 7am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 6am - 1.30pm Friday. Overtime when available

From 11.65 per hour
