We are seeking to appoint an innovative, inspiring and well qualified Secondary Teacher specialising in Social, Emotional and Mental Health to work at our nurturing and supportive small school. Subject specialisms of interest for this vacancy are Science, Maths, IT and Technology however we are interested to hear from a range of secondary qualified teachers with experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs.
The successful applicant would be expected to teach pupils aged 11-18 with a teacher to pupil ratio of 1:5. This role is being advertised as the school continues to expand the number of pupils on role. Pupils follow the Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4 National Curriculum and the successful applicant would deliver a range of National Curriculum subjects and teach qualifications including GCSEs and Functional Skills. We also offer an extensive range of weekly enrichment activities and educational visits for all our pupils. The STEM Leader role involves teaching subjects including Science, Maths, IT or Technology. The successful applicant would co-ordinate STEM lessons across the curriculum and develop STEM opportunities for pupils.
