Support the issuance of advice for Education, Health and Care Plans, in accordance with the SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
Liaise and respond to enquiries from parents and professionals, both orally and in writing, in a sensitive and professional manner.
Contribute to meeting statutory, local, and national performance indicators and targets.
Input data to monitor resources and performance indicators for Education, Health and Care Plans and broader SEND processes.
Promote the welfare of children and young people, ensuring priority is given to safeguarding and that GCC safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
Maintain and develop appropriate systems, including ICT, and processes within the team.
Gather evidence for Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal.
Establish and maintain relationships across schools and settings to support lead professionals with timely communications.
Undertake duties related to the work of GCC as required.
Ensure statutory processes and deadlines are strictly monitored and adhered to in line with current regulations during case reviews.

Experience
Proven track record of working in a high-pressure environment to tight timescales.
Proven ability to handle highly sensitive information.
Experience dealing with challenging situations with service users.
Knowledge, Skills, and Understanding
Proven skills in effective involvement with service users to develop and improve service provision.
Understanding of the SEND code of practice and local authority responsibilities for children with SEN.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and other IT systems.
Ability to implement procedures within statutory timescales.
