Job Description

Dodworth Central Social Club is run by an elected committee on behalf of its members. The committee is accountable to the members for good governance and management of the premises and finances and reports annually to the members on the Clubs accounts.

The committee must also carry out its function in line with the CIU rules which govern the running of working men's clubs and to this end the Club has a set of rules that have been adopted by the members to ensure compliance with CIU rules. In these rules it states that the Secretary is the Executive Officer of the Club and is responsible for all activities on the Club premises.

Duties

You will be employed as Steward/Stewardess of Dodworth Central Social Club.

You will be directly responsible to the Club Secretary and as such your duties will be determined by him/her as dictated from time to time.

You will be responsible for deployment/hours of Bar Staff and Cleaners in agreement with the Club Secretary on a weekly basis. Existing staff to be retained and hours to be maintained where possible.

Ordering of stock will be carried out by the steward / stewardess using the approved preferred suppliers list provided by the Club Secretary.

Daily cashing up, allocating float and weekly cash record, handing over of weekly takings to treasurer for Banking.

Accommodation

On commencement of employment a contract will be signed to cover the living accommodation.

Service bills will be payable by the steward /stewardess

The club's living accommodation must be always maintained in a habitable condition and will be inspected at intervals to ensure compliance.

Pay: 13.53 per hour
