Duties and responsibilities:
Deputise for the Stock and Systems Manager during periods of absence, leading and supervising the Stock and Systems team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and customer teams to enhance stock control processes and drive operational improvements.
Support the development of stock and systems functions across the contract, ensuring processes, practices, and procedures meet compliance with Licence Conditions.
Train and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Work closely with the C&M team to ensure equipment care and maintenance is effectively managed throughout its storage lifecycle, with proactive reporting and schedule updates.
Oversee the use and maintenance of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring data accuracy and generating reports on stock performance, trends, and discrepancies.
Deliver departmental KPIs in line with contractual obligations, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Coordinate cycle counting activities, analyse results to identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
Communicate system issues in line with escalation procedures and support system upgrades, process improvements, and new implementations.
Maintain accurate inventory records, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure stock integrity
Experience, Skills, and Attributes:
Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse systems.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)--ideally Manhattan 2017--and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
